Exclusive: Life On The Sideline EP announcement, music video premiere

Since releasing Honesty Is A Dying Breed two years ago, Life On The Sideline has remained active on the road and is now ready to unveil its upcoming EP, Never Settle. To kick things off, we're premiering the music video for the band's new single, "Echo", which tells the sad story of a young girl reminiscing times spent with her deceased partner. While not a pop punk song per se, it's as catchy as one with an infectious chorus that you'll inevitably get stuck in your head. The band's sound could be compared to that of Transit's and The Early November's. Fans can pre-order the EP on iTunes and CD here, before it's released on June 7th. […]

We Are The Union Announce Indefinite Hiatus

We Are The Union have released a statement announcing a hiatus from being an active band, pointing towards an uncertain future. Some of the members are also currently undertaking other projects in the meantime. Click the Read More… link to read the statement.

We’ve decided to take a hiatus from active status. This does indeed mean we will not be playing Block Party in New Orleans. Usually this type of announcement would be accompanied by a longwinded rant about how unique our struggle was, how every ending is a new beginning, or something else equally stupid and bullshitty. I’d rather just leave it at this:

We were a band. Maybe someday we will be again. We’ve had some amazing times, and we truly appreciate those of you who’ve contributed to our existence. We’ve never been a supercool hype band or uberpunx beardy band, so we thank each and every one of you who listened to our music over the years. It means a lot to us.

If you haven’t yet, you can still grab our latest record, You Can’t Hide The Sun, over at www.paperandplastick.com. The vinyl is now in, and all three colors look fantastic!

For anyone who’s interested in what we’re all going to be up to in the near future, Reed is writing for a solo project and going to school full time, Brandon is working on a new project with ex-WATU member Noah Fenton and teaching bass lessons at Axis Music Academy, Jim is playing drums in Counterpunch (http://facebook.com/counterpunchrok), and Ricky is playing bass in The Hit Society (http://www.facebook.com/hitsociety).

I’m going to get a sandwich.
