Exclusive: Life On The Sideline EP announcement, music video premiere
Since releasing Honesty Is A Dying Breed two years ago, Life On The Sideline has remained active on the road and is now ready to unveil its upcoming EP, Never Settle. To kick things off, we're premiering the music video for the band's new single, "Echo", which tells the sad story of a young girl reminiscing times spent with her deceased partner. While not a pop punk song per se, it's as catchy as one with an infectious chorus that you'll inevitably get stuck in your head. The band's sound could be compared to that of Transit's and The Early November's. Fans can pre-order the EP on iTunes and CD here, before it's released on June 7th. […]

Review: Storm The Bay - "Travel Songs" EP
Storm The Bay is a template of the perfect balance between Pop Punk and Hardcore. This five-piece group from Upstate New York recently released their third EP, Travel Songs, via Streaker Records. The release sets an example for how to incorporate two sub-genres of Alternative music to form one smooth, flowing collection of songs.

Band of the Week: Storm The Bay
Storm The Bay is our newest band of the week, and with good reason. The band's new and third EP, Travel Songs, is a well-crafted record making use of the usual Pop Punk/Hardcore staples, with a further edge, unique to the band. One of my personal points of interest is the vocalist's ability to reach notes not often explored in Pop Punk. So if you're looking to discover new bands, check out their EPs on Bandcamp and listen to Travel Songs below. Click the Read More… link to stream the EP.
